This chai is one of my favourites when I have a cold; although not as spicy as some others, the red peppercorns mean that it really packs a bit of a punch.
It’s a dark, malty base tea (I don’t know for certain, but I’d hazard a guess that Assam makes up a high proportion of the base tea) with lots of lovely spices thrown in: cloves, ginger and cinnamon are definitely in there. What really makes this a special brew is the coconut; it balances out the spices’ fieriness and gives a wonderful creamy flavour.
